I stood at a jewelry counter and did the math twice
Last month, in a jewelry store in Montreal, I picked up a necklace almost identical to one of ours.
Same size. Same rough, uncut stones. I flipped the tag over expecting a few hundred dollars.
It said $1,100.
I did the math twice. Then I asked why. The person behind the counter shrugged: “That's just what these cost.”
It isn't. Not really.
Cutting a stone can hide flaws. Treating it can fix the color. Lab-grown stones skip the sourcing problem entirely. The Solstice Necklace uses none of those shortcuts — every stone in this piece is natural and uncut, exactly as it came out of the ground.
That's not why it should cost less. But it's why we think what we charge for it makes more sense than what was on that tag.
